Haryana CM flags off 'run for unity' to commemorate Sardar Patel

Haryana CM honors Sardar Patel on birth anniversary, flags off 'Run for Unity' in Panchkula

Haryana's Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, led a special event in Pinjore to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary. He paid homage to Patel, also known as the 'Iron Man of India,' who played a crucial role in unifying the nation. The event marked the 'Run for Unity,' which is celebrated nationwide every October 31 to promote the values of unity and integrity among citizens.

Administering an oath for national unity

During the event, Chief Minister Khattar administered an oath to the gathered children and youths, urging them to uphold the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. The run for unity began with spirited slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and covered a distance of approximately 3 km, concluding at Amravati Vidyalaya.

Manohar Lal Khattar also announced a parking facility to be built at the Kali Mata Temple in Kalka. He emphasized that the temple is being developed as a grand structure, similar to the Mata Mansa Devi Temple, and the new parking facility will cater to the needs of devotees.

Reviewing ongoing development works

The Chief Minister inspected ongoing development works in Kalka, paying particular attention to the Old Pinjore-Parwanoo Road, where he observed increased vehicular traffic. He directed the authorities to expedite the construction of the parking facility to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience when parking their vehicles.

Furthermore, he inspected the Amaravati Bridge in Pinjore to assess damages caused by recent rainfall. He instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan to prevent such incidents in the future, ensuring the safety and convenience of the public.
